QG’s consultants include geologists, geostatisticians, mining engineers, metallurgists and risk specialists. We encourage and sponsor our people to continue their professional education so, as well as their first degree, the majority of QG consultants have post-graduate qualifications either specialising in their core discipline or broadening their perspective through completion of cross-discipline studies. This emphasis on continuing professional development is the corner stone of QG’s superior skills and expertise. The focus on maintaining and improving our capabilities is highlighted by our relationships with a wide range of tertiary institutions around the world.
Director John Vann is adjunct professor at the University of Western Australia and the University of Adelaide where he is often called upon to supervise post-graduate students. Through these positions and other relationships, QG keeps abreast of the latest developments in the arena of geostatstics, resource modelling, geometallurgy and mine planning. We are in constant contact with universities and colleges around the world including the University of Alberta, Fontainebleau and the University of Chile to name a few.
