Career Summary
Bosta Pratama is a geologist with a background in exploration and mining since 1996 and an intensive track record as a resource geologist since 2002. He started his career as exploration geologist working on various deposit system in Indonesia. Between 1996 and 2002 he was employed by Newcrest Mining Ltd. and Newmont Mining, where he was engaged gold-copper exploration work on north Sulawesi and Sumbawa.
From 2002, he joined the resource modeling group of Newmont’s Batu Hijau porphyry copper mines on the Sumbawa island of Indonesia. It was here that his interest in resource modeling first began. In 2006 he moved on Oxiana Ltd. at the Sepon Sediment Hosted Gold- Supergene Copper Mine in Laos, holding the position of Senior Resource Geologist.
Bosta has particular strengths in mining geology and resource modeling. He has extensive experience in porphyry copper and supergene enrichment copper deposits as well as sediment hosted gold deposits.
