Who are We

From day one we have been working collaboratively within client teams and transferring knowledge and skills: that’s why for over 10 years QG’s motto has been: 

We add value to our clients through three main activities:

1. We know that for our work to add real value, we must always communicate technical issues in terms of business value .
2. We understand the buisness of mining: It’s essential that QG consultants have worked as senior technical professionals or management for mining firms, so they understand the mining business context well. But that’s still not enough.
3. We know that for our work to add real value, we must always communicate technical issues in terms of business value.

Excellent communication skills are mandatory.  

All this is driven by our ethos on knowledge transfer: Rather than simply present our clients with a model or report, QG’s drive is to improve skills and knowledge assets inside the organisations we work with. 

QG was established in 2000 by Directors John Vann and Scott Jackson to be Australia’s premier geostatistics and resource estimation consulting company. Since its inception, the company has grown to its current compliment of over 20. QG now offer a broader spectrum of services including strategic mine planning, project evaluation, risk studies and geometallurgy.
